Every newborn photographer works a little differently. Personally, I want your experience to feel as easy and stress-free as possible, especially for new moms.
That's why, whether you come to my Douglasville studio or I bring the studio to your home, I take care of as many details as possible. From newborn outfits and wraps to props and professional lighting, I'll have everything ready for your newborn photoshoot.
Do I Need to Bring Outfits for My Baby?
One of the things parents often worry about is figuring out what their baby should wear. I completely understand, when you're preparing for a newborn, choosing outfits can feel like one more thing on your to-do list.
The good news is that you don't need to purchase a whole wardrobe for your newborn photography session.
I provide a variety of newborn outfits, wraps, and props for your baby's portraits. Before your session, I'll also send you outfit inspiration for the entire family.
These suggestions are simply a guide to help you create a cohesive look. You don't have to purchase the exact pieces I send you. Instead, take a look through your closet and see if you already have something similar. If you don't, you can always purchase something that fits the overall style.
My goal is to make planning your newborn session simple and enjoyable—not another thing you have to stress about.
When Should You Order Your Family's Outfits?
After you book your newborn session with me, we typically schedule your session about one week later.
This gives you enough time to look through the outfit suggestions, check your closet, and order anything you may need online. Even if your package takes an extra day to arrive, you'll still have plenty of time before your newborn photoshoot.
What Should Parents Bring to the Newborn Session?
There are only a few essentials I'd like you to have available:
At least 3 diapers
1 burp cloth
Baby wipes
Milk or formula and a bottle, if needed
Most parents already have these items with them, so there isn't much extra packing involved.
And don't worry if your baby needs to eat, be changed, or take a break during the session. Newborns set the pace, and we can pause whenever your baby needs us to.
What If I Choose an In-Home Newborn Session?
If you prefer in-home newborn photography, you don't have to pack everything up and travel with your newborn.
I bring the studio directly to your home, including the backdrop, professional lighting, newborn outfits, wraps, and props. You can stay comfortable in your own space while I take care of the photography experience.
You also don't need a perfect home. The focus is on your baby and your family—not on having a picture-perfect house.
A Stress-Free Newborn Photography Experience
Whether you choose a studio newborn session in Douglasville or an in-home newborn photography session, my goal is the same: to make the experience simple, beautiful, and stress-free.
As an Atlanta newborn photographer serving Douglasville, Marietta, West Cobb, Smyrna, and surrounding areas, I take care of the details so you can focus on your baby and enjoy this fleeting season of life.
You don't need to worry about what to bring, what to wear, or how to pose. I'll guide you through the entire experience and help you preserve these first precious memories for years to come. 🤍
